These Texas Police Auctions are always getting fresh inventory, so keep checking back for the latest used cars and trucks. The websites I’ve listed on Police Auctions USA are constantly updated with cars, equipment, and all sorts of other stuff you might be interested in.
Now, you’ll find different types of auctions on the site. Some are police and tow impound auctions, while others are wholesale dealer auctions or public auctions.
The dealer and public auctions usually have a bigger selection and happen more frequently. I’ve made sure to categorize everything clearly on Police Auctions USA, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.

Police and Tow Impound/Seizure Auctions in Texas [Locations & Auction Info]
San Antonio Abandoned Vehicles Auction (SAPD Property Room)
City of San Antonio Vehicle Impound Facility
3625 Growdon Rd.
San Antonio, TX 78227
210-207-7932
My Tip: Now, their website might not be the easiest to navigate, but if you click on ‘Item List,’ you’ll find a list of their auction vehicles that are up for sale to the public.
I’ve found some decent deals there in the past. If you’re in the San Antonio area and you’re not afraid of a little bodywork or some minor repairs, I’d recommend checking them out.

Lonestar Auctioneers Police Auctions & Gov Surplus (Property confiscated by police during operations) San Antonio, TX 78204
City of Pasadena TX – Surplus Vehicle Auction – They let you preview the cars the day before the auction, and I’d definitely make time for that if you can. It’s worth registering ahead of time so you can jump right into the bidding.
Location of the auction:
3124 Red Bluff Road
Pasadena, TX 77503

Rene Bates Auctioneers – Gov Surplus & Tow Impound Auctions in Texas (Auctions are online and conducted by Rene Bates. Public bidders are welcome to join.) – 972-548-9636 – TX LIC 12100
1650 W. Virginia Street, Suite 104
McKinney, TX 75069
I’ve always liked Rene Bates for finding cars in Texas. They’ve got a good selection of surplus and seized vehicles from all over the state – police cars, city trucks, you name it. Their website isn’t the fanciest, but it gets the job done.
City of Dallas Texas – Auto Impound and Abandoned Vehicles (Every other Monday – State ID or Mexican ID required) – 214-670-5116
1955 Vilbig Road
Dallas, TX 75208
I can recommend the Dallas police car auctions because they are held twice a month which is more frequent than most in Texas. The auctions are open to the public and are conducted by Lonestar Auctioneers.
Action Wrecker Service – Vehicle Auction

Midland, TX 79703
Euless Wrecker Service – Impound Vehicle Auction
(Auction is cash only and the cars have to be paid for immediately after the event) Euless, Texas 76040
1201 W. Euless Blvd., Euless, Texas 76040
Nice little tow company auction in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with public auctions on the first Thursday of every month at 2pm. Of course, I suggest you get there earlier than that.
I usually see around fifty or so vehicles at this monthly auction.
AA Wrecker Service – Vehicle Auction
5709B Denton Hwy
Haltom City, TX 76148
817-656-0104
This is another tow lot auction I can recommend in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This one is smaller than the others, with less vehicles available, and they are also held less frequently. However, I often notice a lot less competition as this auction so factor that in.

Apple Towing – Onsite and Online Vehicle Auctions
Apple Towing is a frequent presence with auctions across the country. They’re a big player, with online and in-person sales. If you’re in the market, especially in Texas or the surrounding areas, you’re likely to see their vehicles pop up.
They are open to the public, but I recommend that you have some automotive mechanical knowledge before bidding. It’s important to truly understand the condition of the vehicle and its worth.
City of Mesquite Texas – Impound Auction (Online auctions of surplus items) Mesquite, Texas 75149

Autura Marketplace (formerly called “JoyRide Autos” is an online auction website with tow impounds, abandoned, and seized vehicles from around Texas. It is open the public and I recommend that you sign up for their newsletter to be one of the first to know about their upcoming auctions.
City of Waco Texas – Vehicle Auction Waco, TX 76702

Locations of Local Wholesale Used Car Auctions in TX – Dealer & Public
The following are more typical public and dealer car auctions in Texas. Locations that are labeled as “Dealers Only” will require a dealer’s license in order to bid or purchase a vehicle at the car auction.
These types of auctions typically feature used car trade-ins from local car dealers, bank repos, title pawn repo vehicles, and for sale by owner cars. However, they do occasionally offer tow impounds, police seizure cars, and municipality fleet surplus cars for sale from around Texas.
